This event offers attendees two fabulous workshops on Friday followed by a dessert reception and artist gallery sale in the evening. On Saturday attend the all-artist show featuring 50 international juried artists offering thousands of top quality bears and friends for sale in unique styles for just about any collector's taste! You are sure to see your favorite artists and find new bears to adopt! Its a memorable, not-to-be-missed event for all!

This show is organized by artists and collectors Daphne Blau and Laura Lynn Matthews, who have developed a reputation for producing high end shows with attention to detail and compassion for their exhibitors and collectors.  We work hard to make this show a wonderful experience for everyone and appreciate your support!

Workshop - Mohair Bear "Gnawbone"
with Fred Slatyer of The Paisley Bear

This Master Bear Artist and one of the great pioneers of our craft will teach a workshop that's perfect for beginners and experienced artists alike! He'll share tips and tricks that are tried and true while showing students how to make Gnawbone, a fully jointed mohair bear with embroidered nose, glass eyes, etc. Everyone will leave this workshop with a finished bear and lots of new bear making knowledge!

Workshop fee: $150 per person including materials and lunch. Space is limited!

7:00pm - 9:00pm
Dessert Reception and Artist's Choice Gallery Sale

All artists and collectors are invited to a delicious dessert reception in the Embassy's lovely atrium. Decadent sweets, coffee and tea and wine will be served. Show artists will each bring one special piece to the reception where it will be displayed and for sale to attending collectors! This is an exciting opportunity to see and buy artist's work before the public sale the next day!

9:30am - 3:00pm The Chicagoland Teddy Bear Show High quality bears in many different styles, sizes and colors await you in the Embassy's bright and spacious ballroom. A truly luxurious setting with thousands of bears by 50 artists make it a collector's dream come true! Demonstrations and give-a-ways will take place throughout the day. Lunch will be available in the hotel restaurant. Admission: $8 Adults, Kids 12 & Under Free Exhibitor list will be posted below 3 months before the show!   5:30pm - 7:30pm Post-show Celebration If you're staying at the hotel tonight join us in the bar for the Hotel Manager's Reception and enjoy free appetizers and drinks while relaxing after the show! You might consider taking the hotel shuttle over to Woodfield Shopping Mall for dinner or dining in the hotel's restaurant after our get together.
